We had the honor of attending the renaming ceremony of the Crosby Public Library to the Crosby – Edith Fae Cook Cole Branch Library. Edith Fae Cook Cole played a big roll in bringing the Harris County Library to Crosby. Along with that accomplishment she also volunteered to compile Crosby’s history and folklore for the Sesquicentennial as a joint project with her mother Bessie Mae Seale Cook. Commissioner Jim Fonteno donated the display case for storage of the manuscript in the library. Although Mrs. Edith Fae Cook Cole was unable to attend, her neice was on hand to accept the awards in her honor. A special thanks to all those who helped make this project a reality.
